Honda Accord Overheats REALLY Fast! HELP
My '96 Honda Accord overheats after only about 5 minutes of being on.
This started happening today, after being stock in traffic and driving for 2 hours straight the arrow went above the red line and I haven't noticed, but right after I did I pulled right over and waited for the car to cool down. I had this overheating problem for a while actually, not this bad though, I usually pulled over before it even reached the red line. Last month I replaced the thermostat because I thought that could help it stop overheating, than 2 weeks ago I replaced the temperature switch because the fan was not turning on when the car was overheating. It started turning on, but when the car overheated today I did not see it on..
My car overheats when it is in idle and after a while it still does even when I'm driving.
What could have caused it to start overheating so fast? Could it be the Mustard Seal I put in? Right before the car started overheating so fast I put that in and took a ride around the block and that is when I noticed it started overheating right away. Or was it because it went over the red line and maybe something went out?

not likely....
not likely....
i did not say it was likely, he was wondering what it could be and i gave him options. i had the same problems on my 95 and i initially thought it was the water pump until i went to change it and saw the crack by the water jet. none of us here have a magic crystal ball that diagnoses problems without seeing them, and nobody mentioned the possibility of a cracked block, i'm just trying to prepare him for the worst.
