Default H22a hatch. questions

Hey, I just bought a hatch with an h22a1 swap in it. I've realized that when i reach up around 7,000 rpms it seems like its losing power. Also at times, while driving the car the engine had seem to cut out on me. It happens when car is brought up to higher RPM's. Any idea what this could be?

your cars power band drops after around 7000 +rpms anyway (your not making power)

sounds almost like the limiter is on still?

Its not a limiter because i can bring my car past 7500. Sometimes the car just shorts out for no apparent reason. I took it on a long trip to new york and it happened to short out on my way there. Could it be my clutch?

Wow dude. Clutch doesnt tend to have anything to do with wiring. As for the cutting out im thinkin maybe a loose ground?

Are you trying to hit vtec before the engine is warmed up? Because that will cause you to cut at 6500. Also stock cams really don't make a whole heck of a lot of power after 7000, it's there but it drops fast.

Yes, it did happen a couple times when my car wasnt warmed up, once when my battery died and then after i jumped it, tried hitting v-tec, and once more on a long trip to new york. I just want to make sure my engine is not gonna blow up on me or something.
