I have a 00 gsr, there is a button under the dash near the fuse cover and coin pocket, not the one to reset the maintenance light but another one. if you sitting in the driver seat it will be near your left leg on the panel below the steering colum. not sure what it does or why it is there. can anyone help?

Valet switch was my initial thought as well.

Id say the switch for the alarm. It disables the alarm for valet ect...

 

press it and your car will self destruct

 

pressing it gives you more vtec

Its a switch to switch from a smaller cam to much bigger cam than the when u hit vtec lol.

 

I think its the stock alarm reset

lol i know what you're talking about, i have it on mine but i dont know what it does either. im thinking most likely something to do with the oem alarm.

 

these were the best picture i could get on short notice. when i got my viper alarm installed, they said is was the valet botton to turn off the alarm. but i tryed it and it didnt work

 

did you turn the key to the on position and push the button?

there are soemtimes different combos and stuff you have to do to get the valet mode to work.
