Default never happened to me...my rant

mod please close if this doesnt belong here

so im driving back to my apt. at 2:30am from a denny's run and in my rear view mirror there is a car pulling up to me really fast. all of a sudden sirens turn on and those blinding lights are flashed at me. so i pull over. two cops w/ badges approach and give me a warning for speeding and my tint...although i think they were seeing if i was drunk or something. so they let me go and they take off and as they pull away from me...i notice its a champagne toyota avalon. WTF?! i heard that unmarked cars can pull you over...but i always thought they were black and white still. i mean the cops were cool and all for letting me go...but wtf is up with the toyota avalon...dont cops always use domestic cars?!

so for all you OC (949) people...look out

DT's here drive all sorts of cars. Avalons, Camry's, Malibu's, Windstars, SS Impalas, and even regular yellow city cabs.

For a while there was a big problem with speeding on I-94 and I-35 around here and they had undercover SUVs, like Explorers and Yukons, with the LED mirror and grille lights, you didn't see that **** coming until it was too late.

I've gotten pulled over by a tan Chevy Blazer with a orange flashing light on its dash. Completely unmarked. But I got off lucky that time... I had my sister in my other car and she had never been with me before. So I took off at the turn and was boosting higher then usual... I hit 85MPH when I passed by two cops talking on the side of the road outside their cars (Speed limit was 35 on that road)... So I pulled into my subdivision and got to my house... And blah blah blah, the unmarked police car cop came... And since I was running into my house basically, he tried to cuff me, but the dude was off duty so he couldn't.
Moral of the story... Gayness abounds with this.
Especially when they use the Mustangs on the highway.

ever since that crazy guy in a cop outfit was pulling people over with a top mount light here in texas, i forgot if he was robbing them or what, but now you can go as far as you need to pull over at a safe place from an unmarked car... but we dont really have many of those around.

Exactly the way it should be

Whenever I see some ******** on the road pull a stupid move like cutting me off at 65+ MPH on the highway or something, I start questioning my career path. Ohhh how I would love to be a cop in an unmarked police car.. I would be a total ***** to people that mess around with other people's lives on the road.

Apparently cops are ricers now too. weird.

The only cop cars I've ever been pulled over by are unmarked impalas.

Calling bs on this. Ill cuff anyone when im off duty. It doesnt matter if your on the job or off, your still a law enforcement officer.

Writing you a ticket etc off duty is another story.

I dont understand how he was off duty though. You said they were standing on the side of the road talking and you boosted by them at 85mph in a 35mph zone. Either way you were driving like an asshat.

More than double the posted limit is slightly stupid, but I wont give you a lecture about this crap.

cops around where I live drive whatever the seize as unmarked cars... detectives still rock the crown vic / impala / magnum standard cop cars but without any writing on 'em..

They actually drove a friend's 95 GSR for about a year before auctioning it... lemme tell you, it pissed him off everytime we passed it.. lol

If it didn't happen to me, I would call BS on it too. But honestly it did. I was basically running into the house and the cop said "Don't run, that'll put you in cuffs, so stop now, Or I'll cuff you." - He was probably just scarring me. My response was "I gotta go to the bathroom" - heh. Which was actually true, 'cause I did have to go.

There was 2 cops on the side of the road talking, next to the cars, but this guy came out of no where and ended up behind my car from my drive way. The other 2 cars, never came. And thats the honest truth.
Regardless all I care is that I didn't get a ticket. *whew*
He said 'cause he was off duty he couldn't write me a ticket.

Ahhhhhah.......well you see there this post you just wrote makes alot more sense then. The first post made it seem like you sped by the two officers. Drove to your house , and then one of the officers showed up but said he couldnt arrest you because he was off duty. Thats the way I interpreted it and I think thats what most others would think from reading it too.

Yeah no ticket is a good thing. in most states that is reckless driving, and then fleeing in to your house like that could be twisted into a couple different things.

Are you sure they were orange lights? That sounds like a construction guy being a *****. The undercovers at my department have lights integrated into the front grill, above the rearview mirror, or on the underside of the passenger sun visor which you just flip down and they are all red and blues. No orange because thats just not police.
