Default Possible Clutch & Flywheel Problem?

Well when I first got my car, the throw out bearing had to be replaced so I bought an XTD stage 1 clutch kit with the pro-lite 12lbs flywheel. Everything worked fine after the replacement but at 4k rpm there was a strange noise. It's like a harsh spinning noise like something is turning un evenly. Kinda like a whirling noise only at 4k rpm. The car never made this noise before the clutch replacement. So than I changed the clutch and flywheel back to stock with a luk clutch kit and my stock flywheel turned down to 18lbs. It's still making that noise at 4k rpm and now its starting to do it between shifts. The ones in between shifts goes away after the car go smooth again. What could this be? Has anyone had this problem before? Could it be that I had an unbalanced flywheel both times? Thanks

same here....i'm thinking its the flywheel...the xtd flywheel was shitting so it made that noise and my stock flywheel had a few warp spots on them and i just turned it down to 18lbs and didn't mic it so maybe thats it?

I have heard nothing but bad press about the XTD setups. Some say the stage 3 or higher are alright though...

I just did mine, Exedy Stage 1, OEM fly, and I'm loving it. Screw lightweight flywheels, I'd like to keep the little torque that I have lol..
