Default Cleaning up; Just a couple questions...

I've had a lot of free time lately and decided that I want to clean the sensors on my car, mostly because I've never done it to this car yet, but also because I'm bored So I'm planing on cleaning the EGR, EVAP and MAP. Anything else I should clean while I'm at it? Also, for the MAP, whats safe to clean it with? Any answers are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you pull a vac on your egr to hold the valve open it will do a much better job cleaning it. I actually prefer brake parts cleaner. It evaporates quicker and doesn't leave a greasy film like carb cleaner. But just my 2 cents. Everyone has there own opinions.

You may be thinking of something else. Carb cleaner evaporates VERY fast and does not leave any residue, which is why I mentioned it. I clean stuff with carb cleaner before I paint it all the time, and if it left a residue the paint wouldn't stick too well.

brake cleaner leaves residue even you get the non chlorinated it gives some white spots and the can drains faster than carb cleaner.
