Yes, it's a fine setup ... was there a point?

It's just a transmission swap.

I have a 92 hatch dx with an Ls and gsr transmission. I'm very happy with the setup, until I blew cylinder #1 and now im looking for another block. But this setup is very reliable and strong. Just watch your shift points. Get an Ex gauge cluster with tachometer. Good luck!

ls tranny will be better for dd cuz its a bit longer ratios. b16 tranny isnt bad just thought id throw that out there.

Ls tranny sucks in any scenario if you ask me. If I though the gear ratios of a b16 were too short, I'd move to a gsr tranny.

The 1st and 2nd are longer, but has the same 3rd and 4th as a b16.

I disagree. I get 32mpg on a B18B, and I don't drive at 45mph on the freeway ... in your face, EPA

Hell no. Not with gas being $3.32/gal for regular.

Okay, maybe an ITR tranny with a gsr final and an LS 5th.

this is my point. it depends on what he has the car for, if its a dd the ls will be better on gas but if u want to DRIVE it the b16 or itr will be good and a ok comprimise would be the gsr.

If I was worried about mpg, the difference between a gsr and an LS in terms of gas mileage will be minute enough to be worth having the shorter gearing of the gsr tranny.
