difference between dx and si tranny
hi guys, i'm buying an si tranny tomorrow for my dx rex but i want to make sure its an si tranny so i dont get screwed over....How can i tell if its an si tranny? what code should i look for?
dx and si codes are the same... you have to rotate it to determin the ratios. look in the FAQ... there is a write up on it.

1-5 ratios are the exact same on the dx and si. the final drive is the only difference. 3.88 for the dx, 4.25 for the si.
4.25 will make your car accelerate much faster.
the best way to tell, as someone mentioned, is to rotate the input shaft and observe the rotation of the differential. its in the faq at the top of the page.
