see there you go, many people here can be very helpful if you are willing to help yourself as well. we cant put **** on for you through our monitors or give you one right answer most of the time.

look, when it comes to cheap coilovers, they suck. the only way they ride half decent is by keeping the car raised. with the car raised, what's the point. right? get a set of good springs. or buy some ground control coilovers.

trust me on this one, wait for a while and save your cash. buy some good suspension, have it be a spring or sleeve coilover setup or maybe a good full coilover set. do research on some springs rates that will suit your needs/goals.

most times " budget suspension" is tossed out when the person gets serious about handling and getting a little more go-kart-ish.

sorry for the shitty grammar

ok i have a set of edlbrock coilovers. pretty damn spendy. the front struts are toast. i am thinkin for what little use i got out of them, i might as well go cheap. wasnt sure if i should kyb or tokico or if anyone had any luck with others. i have a few hundred bucks to spend. and i do all the work myself so labor is not a issue.

well then if you want low, try the illuminas or the adjustable kybs.

dont get the tokico hp shocks. they wont last if you dump the car.

good luck

Budget suspension equals crap. You may as well save up and spend the money now than a bunch over time. Tein.

I would retain the Eibach coil overs and get a set of Tokico Illuminas or Koni Yellows. Neither are going to be cheap but they are a great piece to add to your car.

Number One $100

-------------------

Skunk2 $290
Ground Control $370

Don't buy crap suspension, cause you'll spend more money replacing parts. Do it once, do it right. You get what you pay for.

Give us a budget... if you keep your current springs, Koni Sports (yellows) are pretty much the best shocks you can buy, for just over $500 as the cost. If you're looking to upgrade to a full coilover, try Omnipowers... they're at great price (~$650), and I've know several people who love them. Word to the wise though, they come in either stiff or stiffer...

If you're looking to go cheaper, try the AGXs or Koni Reds... they're the same internals as the yellows, but valved to be softer.

arent reds non adjustable?

my vote goes with tokico illuminas and ground control sleeve overs for the cheap but retaining quality.

For that price or less you could get Tein's.

I'm not a fan of sleeve coil overs kits.

I'd rather buy a combo of springs/shocks or full coil overs.

If using the Tokico illuminas is a concern go with Koni. One of the most popular set ups used on the circuits are Ground control sleeve over kits and Koni Yellows. I doubt very seriously dollar for dollar tein could compete with the quality of a Koni.

The only reason I could see to having coil over, or sleeve overs for street applications is custom ride height, and bragging rights. They racer would truly benefit from a set, and even then you should get your corner weights dialed in.

if you go tein's route, save up for at least the flex. the basics and the super streets suck for what they cost. i recommend koni sports(yellow) and ground control sleeves with the front top hats if you want to slam the car.

if you want stiff, get custom springs rates. i went 400f/500r. the car rotates in very nicely and the ride is awesome.

basicaly what i'm saying is... save save save!

Tein Flex's aren't made for the EF CRXs... the best you can get are the SS's (w/ or w/o pillow mounts).

I'm very happy with my Tein SS's, but they aren't cheap (~$1000 new). GC and Koni yellows are a damn good setup for the price, and probably the ideal race setup, save the shortened Koni SPSS shocks.

As for rotation, I'd go with a standard set of springs and then use a rear swaybar... using the springs to adjust the yaw rate of the car can lead to poor grip as a result of road disturbances.

what do you want the suspension for just to lower it or for handleing. i have the tein lowering springs and new replacment struts from advance auto parts.its not slammed but closes the fender gap and rides like or better than stock.for the money i have in them im very happy

like i said i got a few hundred bucks. already got a thousand dollar set up and it sucks, didnt last, in the edlbrock set up. anything new at this point will ride better, cause right now i got spring only. i want better ride than that, and to be able to lower and raise as i please. thanks for all the input and oppinions, but i think i know what i am gonna get at this point. and will probably rebuild the edlbrocks and keep them for later use.
