I have an EJ6, and my front bumper was replaced with another stock bumper. If I look underneath the bumper, the black piece surrounding the wheel well (I guess it's called the inner fender) is protruding lower than my bumper. I don't think it's supposed to look this way, but I'm not sure. I looked in a service manual, but I still can't tell how it's supposed to sit.

Should the tip of the inner fender be tucked inside the bumper? Does anyone have a pic of the underside of a stock bumper with the inner fender, or can someone please take a pic for me?

Sorry if I didn't explain it too well, but I don't have a digital camera.

it should fit up close to the body... whats the other side look like?

 

Its called an inner fender liner or just fender liner. It should not protrude out, it does tuck in / under the bumper.

 

Both sides look the same. I should have mentioned that. But both sides look wrong to me. I figure the bumper should be the piece lowest to the ground.

 

You also might be missing clips or fasteners on the bottom, very common.
