Default Comptech vs Toda [flywheels]

ok aside from chrome moly vs aluminum (doesnt matter to me) which will be the 'better' candidate for a daily driven + tracked/strip car? i know both are rather light at 6.75lbs vs 8.5lbs, i have heard good things about the comptech peice, but my question is, is it 'too' light? how is the weigh distribution on both?

~ Thanks In Advance

Spoon ownz joo.... if you don't mind some grinding noise some times when you start.

Craig - Who also has to push the car in 5th gear sometimes to get the starter to catch

The Toda flywheel is pretty nice.. the car will rev up quicker. You may want to check, because I heard under certain applications such as FI or nitrous, the "lightest" flywheel may not be the best. I am not sure how the material it is made out of relates to that though...

I know a guy who was running a 75 shot dry, and he somehow ran into problems running the Comptech flywheel.

IF the teeth are that damaged, you might have to replace your flywheel soon! ACK!

Solve the JDM flywheel grinding problem by trading starters with an Si/SiR owner....the stock Denso starter on the R has different teeth or rather different shaft length, compared to the Mitsuba starter on the Si/SiR....

FWIW, mine's never grinded since I swapped over....

i resolved my starter/flwheel grinding problems with a starter from a JDM B18C

the teeth on the starter are cut slightly diffrent to match the flywheel teeth............no more grinding and it sounds hella cool when starting........

I like my Toda, but i'm sure Comptech is nice too..They're both good and better than the stock one..I don't think you'll notice much difference between the two...
