Default Swapping H22A into 96 Accord (Already searched please help)

Have a question about the compatibility of swapping a H22A from a 92-95 prelude using a P13 ECU into a 96 accord ex...would there be any issues wiring wise and emissions wise concerning the OBD1 motor and OBD2 chassis? Ive searched already but wasnt able to find any information on that particular topic, any help in the right direction would be appreciated, thanks

I believe it will not pass emissions, But it would only matter in CA?

I want to say that's what I've heard, but I don't have a swap myself so I can't tell you for sure

Have you checked the FAQ page, or the accord guide? I know the H22 swaps are covered heavily in there and Rotarybzzzz has some really good threads on emissions testing that you may want to look for. If not I will look around and see what i have here to help you.

you'd be better off finding a OBD2 motor. sensor wise the only difference is OBD2 uses a crank sensor and another O2 sensor after the cat. However the harnesses are wired totally different. Are you in CA? If so, you cannot smog the car with that motor running on an OBD1 system. An OBD1 H22 doesn't have a provision for a crank sensor so running that motor on an OBD2 system is not possible. the law states you can swap motors from the same year or newer with all emissions in place and working. I also own a '91 CRX with a CA smog certified legal '95 GSR swap. It was a lot of work but I changed it from OBD0 to OBD1. but going the other way would be way harder. Anyways, good luck!!
