Care to give a brief summary of what its about, w/o having to download it?
Not terribly keen on downloading stuff as it is, much less about wrecked ITRs (or any other wrecks for that matter).
Been there, done that, ... walked away just black and blue in the hind quarters.

Couple things...
1. Ominous laughter killed the sense of suspense.
2. Not showing the driver of the RSX would have kept the imagination going as to what "satan" or whomever is driving looks like.
3. The IM was a nice touch
4. I got confused after the first run, was the main character dead at that point and was then just a ghost on the beach?
5. The last run with the ITR winning should have had both cars fade out, but continue to show the highway.
6. In the "crash scene" I would have put some tire squealing audio to help convey what was going on... I kinda "got it" but was still not sure with the main character whipping the wheel around...
All in all, not a bad short.
EDIT: Go watch the 1986 movie, 'The Wraith' and you'll get a better idea as to how to try and capture that sense of mystery with the unknown driver.

Thanks for the comments and critiques
just a couple of responses
1. That seems to be everyones opinion so far. Maybe it would have been better with a better laugh?
2. Hmm that is a good idea, didn't consider that.
4. A lot of people seem to be confused a bit with the story line. Guess I didn't make it clear enough, but at the beginning he's a ghost and flashes back to the first race when he initially dies. For the 2nd race he's a ghost.
5. That's what I was trying to do, but my brother threw the paper too soon and I had to try and get in film on it before it blew away.
6. Actually there is some tire screeching and him bouncing off the rev limiter. Maybe if the tire screeching was louder and a tad longer?
edit:
Just added the wraith to my netflix queue. I'll give it a look thanks.

If you intend to keep it, maybe after the "crash scene" show the audience a black screen for a second (or a sec and a half, see how it feels) then fade in the laugh and out again in half that time. That would help to give that scene a more ominous feeling and also tell the audience that the main character was just killed.

Yeah, that mask was hilarious... I laughed out loud when I saw it. I don't think it was necessary at all, the black windows were perfect.

I think that will become clear if you can fade out the cars at the end or just the newspaper will help with that. I also think a little polish on the "crash scene" will help with that too.

After watching this again, I think the scene with the first run sequence would work out better if you don't show the RSX when you show the ITR cruising on Ocean Parkway.
Like, you show the ITR, then cut to the mirror sequence and then suddenly the RSX is in the scene, like so (I did the editing in MS Paint since I don't have Photoshop at work, so please forgive the poor quality):

Know what I mean?
Also, if you decide to go this route, when you show the RSX for the first time, you should change the music pace... adds tension.
One more thing, you might want to increase the time when you jump cut to the shift, it hurts my head when it flashes so fast... maybe do PiP (picture in picture) showing your hand shifting?

Hmm I like that idea, but too late to do it now. I don't have access to the camera since classes ended. And I know what you mean with the shifting, I was up till 2am the night before it was due finishing editing it and I was just too tired lol.
