Build a roll cage at home
When we made a fram at school for the FSAE car we had mills and lathes to "fish mouth" tubes and we had the roll hoops bent at a local shop. How are people doing this at home i could see maybe using a hole saw but i don't know how well this would work vs a end mill.
Just wondering if it is worth while to make your own i think they would fit better then a kit but i want hear from the experts.

yeah that would work. Does anyone bend the roll hoop at home?
i found this

I built a tubing bender similar to the one found on blind chicken racing:
http://www.blindchickenracing....r.htm
it worked very well and cost about $350 to build including die and jack cost.
I also have the JD2 tubing notcher and that worked great as well.

Easy
Any welder can weld a roll cage, but you have to make sure its in specs and the welds are going to hold up incase of a roll over or crash..
