Voltage Regulators and other Fuel Economy "boosters"... worth it?
Hi all!
I just bought my Ep3 ('03 Silver with 23K on it. Pictures coming!), a car I have loved and wanted since I first saw it in 2001. Im really excited to get started on getting my hands dirty and seeing what I can do with it.
Ive been digesting all the information I can from these tech forums, and looking for a good place to start. Seems the consensus is Lowering Springs (if you cant afford a full coilover) and cat-back if not just a b-pipe replacement. I already replaced the wheels for now with OEM 16's from Honda. As a DD, My basic goal is highest fuel efficiency while remaining peppy and fun to drive.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with V2 Voltage Regulators and V2 Ignition Boosters, and if they are worthwhile parts to invest. They claim to provide more stable power at lower RPMs and to improve gas mileage in turn.
Do they work? Should they be bothered with?

Most of the people posting under the vid seem to call fowl on the acetone additive unfortunatly. But personal experience is really all you can rely on, so its worth giving a try.
I knew already that more powerful spark plugs, free-flowing air filter, and eliminating other bottlenecks in the exhaust system will help MPG. There was a really interesting study a couple years back that concluded simple changes like that at the production level would totally eliminate the need for foreign oil importing in the domestic US.
What about cleaner currents and more powerful amperage battery-side? What is the highest capacity stock spark plugs can channel before they burn out? And does anyone have any personal experience with the above-mentioned Voltage Regulators and Boosters in their car?
