Time for a rebuild! I'm rebuilding because i've been burning a lot of oil and i'm planning for boost this summer! Block is being done by Extreme Parts in Wisconsin. Here are some pics.....you can see cylinder number 3 was definitely part of the problem

Is that a bolt (that you can remove) in the block above and to the right of the oil filter flange?

this is my first build so i may be wrong but i think that's a coolant drain bolt so you can drain out the sleeve before you take the head off.

I was just wondering because it's a port for the cooling line to the OEM Honda oil cooler (that you don't have).

I've never seen the intake side of a '98+ block before in full form, straight out of the engine bay.

Where is Extreme Parts in Wisconsin and if you don't mind, how much is it running you to get it rebuilt?

Curious cause I eventually want to rebuild mine.

You can add the oil cooler. You need the oil cooler, the water pipe, hoses, and the hose adapter for the bolt mentioned earlier. Just look up the parts for the 94-95 GSR or the ITRs. You need an extractor to remove the stock oil filter mount bolt, which is replaced with a longer bolt that passes through the oil cooler.

yea it's not as bad as you think the flash on the camera wasn't working...brightened them up in photoshop. Right now there are just 4 100 watt bulbs in there so lighting is low but i have some fluorescent lights coming when we insulate everything...it's brand new

They are located off of hwy 20 in racine close to the lakefront. http://www.extremeparts.com

As far as the build i am getting je pistons (-1.17 dish) bored .025 over with hone and hot tank, new rod bearings, bottom end gasket kit, and blueprinting/assembly. They are doing it for a little less than 1300 parts and labor
