Good swap? sure...

They're heavy but they've got a GREAT powerband for a DD

Easy? Hell no. Someone probably makes the mounts, but that's one gigantic motor to be stuffing in there.

Trannys that bolt up: H series, F series.

might want to to research it a bit because it doesn't sound like you are up to the task. i am not too sure what is involved but i do know you must go from shift linkage to shifter cables.

Hey buddy, well I have done the H-sawp, but its on a EF CRX and I get the best power out of it. The tranny I used was from an accord Euro-R and it has LSD so I get good power from it. The only problem is that: in what ever car you put it in, you might end-up with axle problems.

You could also do a H2B tranny adapter so you could run B-series tranny.

Not only is the h22 a more expensive to buy but god damn an h2b is another grand to get the adapter plate and hardware. And yes the h22 into an EF is a much harder swap.

Hasport makes them but it does require welding, drilling, and cutting. And I also heard that the hasport h22 mounts arent that great some times. There is another company that sells some that have a better rep but you would need to research that.

Why so many questions about h series in the rex forum all of a sudden you can read through the first page and all your answers should already be answered

My personal experience is that everyone should stay away from the Hasport EFH22 kit.

No comment on the ESP kit.

My recommendation is to get a great fab shop that's done the swap before to custom you up something.

I love my hasport mounts
No problems at all!

And the car is awsome to drive I think...and I work on hondas for a living.
For a stock motor the thing is wicked fast.....yea the turbo cars and the built NA cars may be faster than it is now....but theres still a ton of room to grow for me.

From installing this thing myself and me being a mechanic by trade....it took me a _solid_ 2 months of working till 11-12 at night after getting off work at 6 and full days on the weekends to get it on the road. Then I took off and headed on a 250 mile trip after getting it running for only 2 days.
That wasn't just putting in the engine it was also painting the entire car and some other mods like rear disc etc. The wiring took me a whole weekend to get it all mapped out and wired in...I think they make jumper harnesses but I wired mine in myself.

If you don't have access to a 2 post lift at a shop or a well supplied home shop I wouldnt even think about it. I even had access to all the used parts I wanted for stuff....I couldn't imagine doing this myself with out working where I work.

If you are gonna do it get a good JDM engine and tranny with LSD...cost a few hundred more but worth it.
