i just joined, thanks to this web site ive built my 4g4d into something, well lets get to the point, i was racing tonight and my car misses or something at or about 7k, no codes, cars runs great, anybody have any ideas? any help will do, car is parked, thanks alot

 

my CRX was doing the same thing, and i pulled a spark plug out and it was drenched in oil.. i had to replace the valve cover gasket and i just bought new plugs.. check that, thats all i can say.

ok just got in from the garage, everything looks good, no oil, plugs look alittle red

I pulled my plugs out and they where drenched in oil yesterday too, weird. My car seems to not be running right at top end too, this was before there was any oil though. Saughta sounds like the valves are floating about 5k

 

Does the tach jump like crazy around when it misses? If so, prolly the ignitor.
