So I have a 95 hatch, swapped with an Obd1 95 JDM gsr running stock JDM P72 ecu. When I turn on the car, it starts fine and everything is cool. I'll engage gear, rev it, and at 2K it bogs out, I'll shift and the same will occur. Finally the engine will start to run somewhat right when the ecu disengages the cold start and lets it opperate at it's normal parameters. However, Vtec will engage at 3500 and it kicks in rev limiter at 6500. This happens with every ECU I run in the car, chipped or not chipped programmed for whatever vtec crossover/ redline. I would start diagnosising the problem but the car's CEL system doesn't exist? No CEL comes on when the key is in the ignition (and I've tried changing out gauge clusters/bulbs), and it doesn't even come on when I set the jumper by the ECU. I'm sure it's either something in the wiring or ignition system that's F#cked up, but i'd appreciate any inside information befor I start dwelling into componants that don't need to be touched. All help is always appreciated.
