Default My $500 CRX

Well not mine but will be once my girl sells it to me. She needed a car that was good on gas and a 5 spd. Its a 86 .This thing has full 88 integra suspension and motor. Well as far as he says anyway. But im pretty sure it is. I wasn't able to look at the engine code because so much grease, will have to check out this weekend. Full disc brakes. Full interior, runs great. Very very peppy. I would even go to say that its pretty quick. For $500. Hell of a deal.

Anybody know where this motor came from, im not familiar with the old school ones.

I would say yes it is. This little thing brakes very good and has very good throttle response. Very impressed. This will be a fun little side project.

its worth it ,pretty much a bolts right in , what do you have hf ,dx or si ??? if you have a hf or dx you going to have to swap in a Si harness or the hole teg harness ,get a si tank and fuel pump , modify the axles alittle and there are a few other things lol just search it ,if you dont find much ,check out http://www.REDPEPPERRACING.com there have been many of these swaps done on there into first and 3rd gen civics ,just search it and a millon pages will come up lol good luck

nice car ,little rust but pretty clean ,i see the guy that swapped put in the 88 to 89 with out vacum advance dizzy i want to do this ,but im leaning more towards a B18b but im to in love with my little d15a3 ,for that rust on the rear fender ,the 88 to 91 hatch rear fenders fit ,and im pretty sure you can still order them ,its not the full Rear quarter just a fender repair kit

Does any one know if the 2nd gen crx seats will bolt up into the 1st gen?

Car should be getting painted within the next couple weeks. Any body have pictures of the top half and bottom half painted?

Thanks

yep for sure thats a 88-89 d16a1 black top, one of the most common swaps into ballades along with the 86-87 Integra brown top d16a1. That was the first swap to start the beginning for all Honda motor swaps phenomenon.

yeah bro like all the 87s were all painted one color

as for the 2nd gen seats yes they will fit into a first gen ,but IIRC you have to swap the rails from your seats onto it or one of them I'll look it up for you (i cant remember )

I'll post some pics in a bit
