Default Anyone ever rent or buy an engine hoist?

Hey im about to do a swap, and none of my friends can let me borrow a lift from them because they are using theirs. So i was wondering, if i were to rent one, how much would i be paying? ( Daily...monthly...hourly...?) or how much is one to buy?

rent is around 30-60 bucks a day to buy around $200+ generally speaking and you want to look for a "knockdown" version

so you can put it in your car/truck. knockdown means they come in pieces and you put it together.

i rented one and then i bought one later down the road. i think almost everyone here has either rented or bought a engine hoist, i had to laugh when i read the title. i would just buy one if your into cars. if this is like a once in a year or two thing. renting might be better because a hoist takes space
