urethane is best; it's what stock bumpers are made out of and it's the most flexible, which makes it the most resistant to breaking. abs plastic is trash, it'll crack really easily. i imagine regular plastic isn't any better than abs.

no idea on prices. if you do a lot of freeway driving i'd go with a professional paint job so it lasts longer. spray can paint isn't going to hold up too long to rocks at 80 mph.

FYI OEM Bumpers are NOT made out of Polyurethane, the bumpers are composed of ABS Plastic. But he is dead on with the lip, get a poly one. I only ordered an ABS lip b/c it was cheap, when it cracks, I might go CF or get the Tunerz Image Poly Lip.

EDIT: it is cheaper to buy that lip directly from thier site,
Tuners Image Poly Lip, 5 dollars cheaper, but still.

None of the Polyurethane usdm type-r lips Ive seen look like the oem one... The sides flares out. Even the sponsors on Honda-tech ones doesn't come close to the oem.

no, they're urethane. abs plastic is much stiffer. have you seen an aftermarket 'oem style' bumper? that's abs plastic. compare that to a real oem bumper. the oem one is much more flexible. the oem one rips, while the aftermarket one shatters. i have an oem itr lip, and it's the same material as my oem bumper.

I remember reading on here that a few HT members bought JDMSHIT polyurethane " oem itr " lip and it did NOT look like the one pictured.

The upper one is polyurethane and the below one is most likely the ABS but advertised as " polyurethane " So just be careful when ordering a " polyurethane " lip because you'll be very disappointed when you receive the one that doesn't look like the oem itr one.

yeah, I have the jdmshit one for the 94-97 front end, and its exactly like the OEM ITR lip, with NO extra flares on the side. really clean.

btw, CF lips are over-rated. they crack just as easily as Fiberglass or plastic lips. it just takes one bump or driveway. polyurethane is the way to go. I've hit/scraped mine a bunch of times, and its still perfect.

Visit JDMshit.com they have polyeurothane oem itr lip replicas for a good price, I was going to buy one when I had my DC2, but oh well. I heard they hold up very well and fitment is excellent too.

The one on the blue teg is the civic type-r style lip, where the one on the green teg is the integra type-r style lip. Both can be made in ABS or polyurethane..

i for one got an ITR lip in ABS plastic 6 months ago and still no problems with it.

http://www.tunerzimage.com sells a bunch of lips at good prices.

i got mine for 100$ at streetsyler.com, and its worked out great
