Um I thought a GS-R block with B16 headis Poormans type-R. B18B block doesn't even compare to a ITR block.

B18B bottom end with a B16 head is LS VTEC...

And yes those Rotas are ugly. But I hate red wheels period.

That above member is noob as you can see his icon lol, but to the OP, have you considered doing a PNP to the b16a head, so that you can increase the CR, and putting in higher CR pistons like jdm itr or jdm ctr pistons or forged internals, then your motor can match up cr's with gsr's and itr's. If your gsr block and b16a head is stock, you have lower cr of .02 iirc. Not sure if you can personally feel the difference from your motor and a gsr. Just my opinions, if you want to outperform other gsr's and maybe itr's.

Unless his GSR (p72) ecu is chipped then hes good to go, or ditch your current ecu if its a stock p72, and get a chipped p28 and call it a day.

oh and BTW telling people that they don't know **** just by their post count and date of sign-in is really stupid, they are users here with 100 post and ALOT more knowledge about cars then people with more post count than they do

and to the OP im sorry for this stupid mess, i gave wrong info, but hey! we all make mistakes, that's why pencils have erasers....and yes poormans Type r but like i said, nice car nontheless, reminds me of my car

Now you need a red valve cover to go with those wheels.

And a port and polish does not raise compression ratio.

if your compression is lower than 10.1 ratio than your poor man set up is as slow as a b16
