Default should i trade my accord for prelude?

i currently own a 94 honda accord lx all stock (automatic) and was recently asked if id like to trade for a 95 honda prelude (stick). do you think it would be a good idea, because i plan on modding both cars and i want to keep the one that one would gain more hp/torque with mods.

much appreciated, jesse

I'd get the prelude, because first of all its a stick. Do you know what engine is in it? H22 or H23?

Well considering you are asking in a forum full or Prelude owners, I'm pretty sure you could guess what most if not all of them would say.

i don't even care, buy the prelude accords are gay. My parents owned one and i was about to buy it off them to mod it and luckily i came to my senses and realized how stupid that would have been. I bought a prelude srv realized how slow accords really are. 94 accord compared to a 93 srv.

One thing about the Prelude is there isn't much room for people and hauling stuff. If hauling more than 2 people around might be a problem, you might want to reconsider trading. The Prelude is really a 2 seater with storage in the "back seats".

Yeah, nice comparison.

well, Since I have owned 5 different 4g preludes now and this is the Prelude forum, I am kind of biased and I would say prelude.

Now if you don't like sticks, or you have a family then keep the accord. However, my preludes are mostly for fun. I have other cars to drive when I need space.

back seats have enough room if ur of average height. i drove car across country w/ 3 passengers. we switched off and we all had opportunities to sit in the rear seats. no problems at all.

for day to day it definately is totally fine. most people commute solo anyways.

While its likely that every Prelude owner in the world isn't on Honda -Tech. It is more than likely that the majority of the decently powerful ones are. And I doubt a 12 second street lude exists yet. But thats not my point ,my point was that Accords are not neccesarily slow...(BTW a few diffrent market Accords came stock with H22's so perhaps its an Accord heart after all )

What would be average height? I'm 5'4" (yea im short) and there's only a few inches left before the roof in the back. Any taller and a pothole would hurt

Ask yourself what you prefer functionallity or performance. That will answer ur accord vs prelude question.

ditch the accord. if you're in the US...you have to put the PRELUDE motor in the accord to make them decent. the lude handles better and looks sooo much cooler

I mean has anyone even really tried??? whats the 12sec N/A Accord Count? 1 thanks to 2point6.
The Prelude TypeS had the future EuroR H22 design 1st.......Sorry, but anyway you cut it, the H is a Prelude motor.
You guys talk like that 270whp N/A H24 wouldn't run 12's in a Prelude......
BTW, I don't think 2point6 has run 12's on Drag Radials, so his Accord wouldn't be a 12sec Street Car anyway.
In fact--Chris F's HCH1 Prelude has more than enough power/weight to run 12's on slicks. 10:1 with a 4.64fd----Not a Street Legal car though, but has a Tiny 2.2 liter with cams/bolt ons.

To answer the question......If you want a cheaper to build 2 seater, go with the Prelude.....if you don't mind doing a Motor/trans Swap or Turbo for power and need 4 seats stick with the Accord.
Both of them have their own place in the Honda lineup.......

Hahahaha........an 11sec Nitrous Breathing H22 Accord Wagon would be dope! You could get groceries hella fast!......i just typed hella...wtf! I am losing it.

Another ACCORD vs PRELUDE thread......last time it was F vs H! That was funny though!!!! G series all the way!!!!! Can't we all just get along.......Prelude for racing and Accord for Groceries and multiple child seats.
