Default Extra coolant hose after multi point conversion?

Just recntly I did a multi-point conversion for a friend on his 90 Hatch. We ended up using a Multi point manifold from a 90 EX sedan, All the coolant lines are hooked up correctly like they should but there is an extra coolant line coming from between #3 and #4 runner. Doesn't connect to the water pipe but just the intake manifold?

Can anyone shine some light or post up a actual diagram of the coolant lines? I've already tried searching and found a bunch of dead links.

Any help is appreciated.

i had the same problem when i did my mpfi swap on my 88 crx dx and it is the same hose that i had which i think it is by your description than it is for sure a coolant hose because we forgot about it and when we cranked the engine coolant came rushing out. I just pushed a bolt it there and clamped it down so that nothing would come out. The motor never overheated so i am assuming it wasnt a problem.
Hope this helps

from the description it sounds like the egr valve hose... if so its not coolant. if it is the egr then it should connect at the back of the block.

I think I figured it out, the D15 doesn't come with a oil cooler right? Does the D16 have one though? If so then that's why I have an extra hose?

well coolant comes out of the extra hose so I'm going with a big negative on that one.

well on my intake manifold that i used when doing the mpfi swap on my D15B2 it has an extra nipple at the passenger's side where the thermostat housings hose goes into the manifold and that is the extra one i just plugged off. On my SOHC ZC that is now in my crx the mpfi intake manifold doesnt have that nipple but other than that the two intakes look exactly the same.
I am guessing that maybe some of the models had a need for an extra coolant hose and therefore the manifold with that hose and others did not. Anyways hope this helps
