Default 86' civic d16a1

I'm thinking about buying an 86 civic with a d16a1 swap for $800. It's only got 35,000 miles on motor. No carpet or rear seats, front seats and dash only. Is $800 a good price? Is this a good swap? How much power does the d16a1 put out?

D16a1 usually costs more than that itself... plus its hard to swap into the civics pre-88... Id say do it.

You can look up the stats on that motor anywhere. Use the search

I guess it depends on if you like the car and if you think the guys telling the truth. The engine might have 300k miles on it for all you know. Personally, if it didnt seem sketchy, id do it.
