Some a/m internal questions
I tried to use the search button trying numerious different ways typing it.Well its time to rebuild my motor in my d16y8.Ive got a bare whole motor for $60 it's sleeved the kid boosted it 30 psi. First question is can I get the motor resleeved again. Also does anyone use eagle rods on the d16y8 or does everyone use crower rods? The car is turboed with a dsm setup. It has a t-25 turbo on it but when the motor is build im either gonna run a 16g or 20g on it. And spray it with some nitrious to spool the turbo. I heard some good things about srps pistons. im gonna go with some crower valves . I dont know what camshaft i want to go with yet anyone have any suggestions.
for cam i dont know about d16y8's so you are going to have to compare dyno charts and see what you want to do with your power band
yes the motor can be sleeved again but why?
i prefer eagle rods all motors i build that dont contain factory rods i go with eagle why? becuase im not familar with crower lol
you also have to notch the block, also in high psi/horsepower car i prefer the blockguards also or you can stud the block or poormans closed deck system
also make sure you resurface the deck if you do any block guarrd thing etc
and do not remove it or youll have to do it again lol
some kids are running the ycp replacement vitara setup, but i prefer any random aftermarket set you can get for cheap as long as it is a notable company
also USE oem honda bearings i mean ******* nascar engine builders build it and it is rumored that the bearings are the reason why honda motors are so reliable,
