Default Are my rims steel and can be buffed/polished using sanding then mothers mag polish? (pic inside)

Hello i have Konig Rhythems II, its got a 2" lip which i think at one time was polished lip, but 2 rims have been refinished, pic below, by a company and i think they just painted the lip? what i wanna do is bring my 2" lips back to polished look/chrome. Can i do this with the sanding then buffing method? Thanks!!

they are gonna get dull again, and get stained and will be hella pain in the *** to maintain. The clearcoat was made to prevent all this and protect the aluminum.

Yes you can you have to strip, wetsand, buff polish those suckers.

Check the wheel and tire section forthe how-to wheel polishing thread

i know how to do it, i just need to know if i can get my lip to a mirror finish like the guys do with SI rims and others. That pic is of my best rim, its a 10/10 but on the other side one of them is like a 5/10 the lip is all fucked up so i wanna go ahead and do it anyways, maybe clearcoat it after?

that side looks great, but the other is messed up like bad, i have 2 good rims looking like that and 2 ugly ones, so ill prolly just buff the passanger side and leave the driver side as is unless i really like the buffed look
