Search a little man, its really not worth it on a relatively stock motor. Unless your building a monster I woudln't waste my money on it.

People usually Knife edge Cranks in Muscle cars I personally dont think it is going to matter if you do it on the 4 banger. Have it done and let us know. I could be wrong.

What are your goals? knife edging is one thing in a build-up. There are many other things you need to do before that.

knife edged valves? sounds like a good idea!!
i think you are getting confused with a Tuliped stem.

Knife edging a crank removes reciprocating weight by removing material off the cranks counter weights. they call it knife edging because generally material is removed more from the ends of the counterweight and not from the area by the crank journals. so it looks like a knife (thicker at the top, and sharp at the bottom)
on engines where the crank weights dip through oil in the oil pan, knife edging can also reduce windage loses somewhat.

Eagle sells some for the B series that are 7 lbs lighter then stock. nothing for the D's. on a mildly built D16 i think you could spend money more wisely elsewhere. like upgraded valvetrain and cam for instance.

Holy ****, you just won yourself asshat of the day award.

Don't ask for questions and then try to insult the responses while using whatever spelling you call that. Looks like ebonics for the written word.

Spelling correctly or at least TRYING to spell correctly, as well as using semi-proper punctuation and grammar while writing on a public forum is simply a matter of courtesy.

Lets try out a scenario here. You're applying for a new job. Are you going to walk into the place and say "yo ************ Im here fo a job". Basically that's how you're coming off by purposefully misspelling and sounding like an *******.

Using proper sentance structure as well as trying to spell correctly will get you LOADS of help from the HT guys (unless its a topic that's been covered 999,255,089,524 times, then search). If we can't read your posts, or you obviously don't know what you're talking about, you're going to get flamed. /story.

****, you figured me out. Based on the one one sentence I posted you uncovered the secret that I'm a spoiled rich kid who buys built cars and can't do anything himself.

Oh wait, your ******* retarded.

Goddamn, you are smart! I spelled VTEC wrong and I didn't even notice!

What am I trying to prove? Probably the fact that you claimed that I am a rich kid who buys built cars and can't do anything himself, without basing it on any actual knowledge.
