Default 91 Civic STD build 56k NO NO (anyone still on dialup?)

Ok heres the deal, I am building an ALLMOTOR D for now, and plans for boost in the future. I am also doing a wire tuck, and PERMANENT OBD1 conversion.

A6 BLOCK
Z6 HEAD
P28 ECU
COMP CAMS 59100
DC 421 Header
MY Own wiring converion and tuck
97 GSR Front and rear cloth.
97 GSR Guage cluster
and undecided on wheels, but will probably rotate between my konig rewinds and falken hanabis

so on with the pics.

Here she is, at or near the beginning, gotta find the before pics... lol

OUT with the bitch *** STD motor...

YANK! GONE!

Filling the poor girl up with her new parts and some old parts that will get sold, recycled and thrown away

BYE BYE STD CLUSTER!!!

HELLOOOOO GSR Cluster

I havent seen this swap done in a EF civic yet, only CRXs so, I wont say im first, but first that I know of...

My Z6 head wasnt in very good shape, but I checked its surface and it was good, so I reassembled it with my COMP 59100 cam

Heres my OBD1 conversion, I HATE those jumpers and dont plan on EVER going back to OBD0 since its getting so hard to get parts... so. Heres a quick pic run down of what I did, no instructions, look elsewhere for that... but I can do your car too.

and finally... my rims.

UPDATE!!! UPDATE!!!
Ok so I have been doing some work on the wire tuck, I am also adding the MPFI wires and VTEC wires. Its a mess right now but will look real good when done.

I also picked up an EF9 Front bumper, with the bumper support, SIR Lip, and Lights.

So here you can see that the Fuse box is gone... where did it go??? I also shortened up the strut tower wiring and moved the wiper motor wires to the AC gromet.

OH, theres the fuse box, not mounted yet though.

Now THIS is how the headlight area and strut tower SHOULD look.

My new EF9 Bumper, too bad its not red, but oh well its in 9 out of 10 condition.

how well does the gsr cluster fit? and how difficult it is to wire up? becasuse i can get a gsr cluster very cheap, but i cannot find a 91 si cluster if my life depended on it.
im also assuming you had to convert to an electric vss?

Nice, looking good.

Where in Tacoma are you located. I might have you come out and do my OBDI swap for me. I'm out in Tacoma 3 times a week for class (UW).

The cluster fits pretty good, but its not an easy swap, I just happen to have a 91 si cluster I am selling. Havent even listed it yet cause a local EFer was supposed to buy it but he apperently flaked. Yes you HAVE to go VSS. The cluster is not a direct bolt in swap, check out some of the GSR to CRX write ups to see what you gotta do, its not exactly the same but close enough to figure out.

ROFL! Yeah wiring can be a pain, but its my specialty. I dont see a rats nest, I see a chance to make my car a little more unique and a chance to show my skills. When people look under my hood I want to be able to tell them proudly that I am the one the did ALL the work. Every nut bolt and wire. If I can get my hands on a headgasket soon, the motor is getting built next.

I just got my hands on some ARP head studs BRAND NEW for $50 SCORE! I need to chase one or two threads, they seem to be a little too "snug" for my liking. Then the head is getting torn back down for hot tanking and a quick resurface just to be sure its all good.

Sorry guys, I wont be doin a write up. There is already info and write ups out there. Find the wire schematics for obd1 and obd0 and its pretty straight forward. Cut, strip, solder, shrink wrap. Thats it.

Thanks for the kudos though. A couple more tips... Take your time, go slow, one wire at a time, DONT CUT until your ready to solder, and DONT SOLDER till you have your shrink wrap on the wire, and DONT SHRINK WRAP until your done soldering. LOL Seems simple enough, but I got distracted a couple time by friends and women and made a couple of these mistakes, nothing I couldnt fix but it was annoying as hell.
