Default poor man ITR

alright guys i have a gsr right now and im going to bore out the block but i can get a full b16 head for about 300 bucks... my question is isnt the b16 head more free flowing... so isnt it bettter? is it worth it.?

btw my set up i will be running is...
jdm itr pistons
gsr rods (shot peined)
skunk2 IM
skunk2 pro series stage 1 cams
b&m fpr
dsm injectors? maybe rc's?
rage header
2.5" exhaust
..... thats the jist... i know theres more but... i dotn remember all of it.. thats the main parts though.

the injectors are too much for your application right now. i would just rather save the 300 for the b16 head (which does flow better) and use it for a hondata intake gasket and a skunk2 manifold for less cost and gain more power out of the higher combustion head and now better flowing gsr head with skunk2 manifold. but the rest of your setup sounds good!

keep the gsr head and your stock 270cc injectors.

gsr head is free bump in compression and flows only marginally less and, according to some famous headporters, is a better choice when porting because of the port angle's.

stock injectors are known to support little over 200whp with raised fuel pressure.

the 400-500 dollars you spare, you can spend on a valvetrain (if you did not already calculate them in) and chipping material to run crome and tune your setup yourself

there's been tons of flow graphs that show gsr heads flow better then b16's..and vice verse..so no..using a b16 head will cause a loss in compression and..just goin by the wind of 'it flows better' doesn't seem to make me wanna spend 300 bucks..

Injectors or a fuel pump is good to have. Also look into ACL race bearings those are pretty good.

sweet thanks guys... yeah i was going to say i heard that the b16 is better and the gsr is better.

but i do have a valve train that was jsut a quick out lay i have the s2 pro series valve springs and i think im goign to stick wiht my stock exhaust valves just new oem ones and hten the itr intake valve. i already have a chipped ecu wiht crome and a s2 IM and hten im goign to buy a new hondata gasket. i was thinking injector wise to go with the obd 1 345cc h22 injectors and then a walbro 255 lph fuel pump with my b&m FPR and hten a BDL fuel rail... that will be my fuel system set up... so i think that should handle it very well!

I say keep the GSR injectors and Fuel pump. U just need a FPR and some tuning. . I have a similar set-up that made 205whp with a 1.8 and stock injectors and fuel pump.

Stock injectors are 240's so fixed.
I would go with 310's if you don't plan on doing much more or 370's for growing room. Better to go with bigger injectors than higher pressure. Make sure you get crome or another software that can compensate for bigger injectors.

Crome is good I run Crome Pro.

PerformanceCloseout has Supertech valvetrain for a very nice price. Get flatfaced valves to up the compression a wee bit more.

yes i have crome also i like it a lot.... now my question is... should i get an oem headgasket because i wasnt sure how high i could go on that compression for daily driver.

i mean with stock headgasket nad those pistons and gsr head i will be at 11.6:1. i figured that was about as high as i could go for daily driver. but maybe not.

also i think i was going to get the h22 345cc injectors.

You may have to "fit" those to your IM. Also have to make sure if you need a resistor box or not. The h22 injectors for obd1 are peak and hold and obd2 are saturated.
