wtb: complete eg b series swap PA
Im planning on putting a b series into a 93 hatch.
was looking into getting a complete b16a swap from hmo for 2250 + shipping
that comes with harness, axles, shift linkage, hydro tranny, block, head, and stock axles
was testing waters to see if anyone has a complete swap closer for lower or around the same price
i deffinately want something either under 50k miles or recently rebuilt.
would also be interested in other b series.
i would be able to pick up depending on location and pay in cash.

Unless you're going to build the B16, or are going to make an ls-vtec, you'll be very disappointed w/the performance of the b16...
A stock b16, especially in a not-so-light EG, will feel like a D series till vtec kicks...
If you're not doing a lot of mods on the motor, an LS swap will be a ****-ton cheaper, and will end up being faster.
(I also have some LS longblocks for sale, but I'm really not pushing you to buy one, just giving out my opinion on this matter. )
Good luck with whichever you go with.

Honestly man, it probably won't be. You can find some reasonably priced USDM GSR swaps for under $2k in this region... That would be a MUCH better motor to run non-modified in an EG.
Even the b16a swap in my friend's Si CRX feels slow compared to the LS he has in his other CRX. B16s are by far the most popular HT swap, but I think it's more the allure of having vtak + B series than the fact that the same car with an LS in it will probably woop them at the track.

well hopefully this thread will bring someone with one then...
and i have a strict budget of 5k

You'll find better parts, and not get ripped off for the "complete swap" markup if you shop around for the parts instead of get it all at once. I was browsing your CRX build thread, and it seems like you might need a little parts buyer guidance.
I sell/buy lots of stuff, so just trying to help you out here.
For instance...
You can get an LS longblock for $300-$450
Ls tranny -$250-550
Mounts (you can use OEM integra mounts, normal to see them go for $25 a piece) $100
Exhaust (go to your local exhaust shop for a quality custom exhaust, and avoid paying for an exhaust name. Just pick out a muffler, high flow cat, and a resonator, and you have about $250-$300 into an amazing sounding (and the perfect sized piping for YOUR application, not universal sized) system
So for $1200-$2000 you can have a complete swap, that includes all the stuff YOU want, or you can drop the easy cash on a swap that's put all together for you, and performs like poo (AKA b16a swap).

yea... lol i have bought a lot of stupid stuff... i haved weened myself off ebay and impulse buying...
ive already found someone selling a complete b18b for 1k, im going to look into getting.
and im definitely getting a custom exhaust done at a local shop. they do exhausts for cheap and do it right.
i already know about using stock teg. mounts.
either way im putting at least 4k into the car, but it would definitely be better for me to send it wiser and get other performance parts instead of spending it all on a completely stock motor.

Here's a great buyer I've personally bought a car from who's selling a 95 LS tranny for $500. But finding one w/o grinds it worth paying the little bit extra..
