It's so true.
It's so true.
Yeah I donno about that.. I'm still in college the SI isn't exactly 'light' on the wallet for a car in it's price range.
It gets pretty good gas mileage and all, but having to fill up at 160+ a month for light driving (just to and from college / work) isn't exactly a good thing for a college grad who is in need of a job. Not only that, but insurance is crazy on young men/women.
I think something more along the lines of a VW Golf / Base Civic / Mazda3 would of been a more suitable choice.

You should be able to get a discount on your insurance for being in school, especially if your on your parents plan...
160+ a month and you dont have a job (no job to drive to) how are you spending soo much on gas?
Most college kids have jobs as well (at least around here, even if you go to school full time)...

I do have a job.. hence the driving to college / work
I'm going to *hope* that gas mileage gets better after the break-in, but I won't be optimistic because at 8k+ on my LX it's still just as bad. I won't complain too much though, getting about 25-26 on the SI for a pretty even split between city / highway.
Basically I run through about 1 tank a week, at about 40 bucks a fill up. **** adds up quickly
Been staying out of the vtec range a lot as well, oh well.
I'm also not on my parents plan, but I am married so I do get a bit knocked off for that I suppose. It's still high as hell though, more than should be legal

Hmmm, well sounds like thats the best your gonna' get... Your driving conservatively, you do have a job (reason for the miles)... Being married is the variable that makes you not the average college kid...
