i had my tranny checked out and watched the guy shift it before he gave it back to me. no its installed in my car on the motor and now it wont shift!!!!!! have no clue to why it wont its in neutral now. its a hydralic tranny but theres no need to hook up the line it should shift with out it! im just need to see if anyone else has had this problem or knows how to fix it! just debating if i should pull it which is going to **** me off or see how long it takes for a response!!!

I have my tranny issues too so BUMP BUMP BUMP for you. Seems like the simplest things tend to be such a pain in the A**!!

 

so your trying to shift the tranny without the hydraulic line for the slave cylinder hooked up??? so pretty much your trying to shift with no clutch?

 

the car is off for one and since when cant you shift a car without the clutch pressed in when it is off?

the tranny is in the car and yes i had a mechanic check it out he did it right in front of me and the weird thing is that it shifted before i put it in so what would stop it from shifting

More than likely...Yes. Its probably stuck between 2 gears. Be careful when taking the case off that you catch the detent ***** and springs. I believe there is 3.

Did the mechanic pull the case apart? Sounds like a fork is binding or the shiftlock guide pin is not in there properly.
Did he f around with the linkage at all? It might be too tight and the bracket for the linkage to the shifter is bent and not allowing travel. Any more background would help

 

ya he had the case off its shifted when he showed me! i just bought the linkage but it wouldnt shift with the linkage off so i think i should just start pulling it can anyone help me after i get the tranny out of what to do pictures would be great lol
