Just recently did a double mini me on two cars. one had a d16z6, other had a d16a6. I swapped them out, u[grading the a6 to vtec with the z6 head blah blah lbha. it went nicely(eventually)

but now to the z6 blcok with an a6 head. What timing belt goes on it? I tried puttiong the stock a6 timing belt on, but it was too long. Also tried a y7 belt for the hell of it since it was shorter, yet it was too short

And i think That the z6 belt didnt fit either....

Basically: Anybody know what timing belt goes on a z6 block with an a6 head???

Ok i have a d16a6 with a z6 head Just use a z6 timing belt or y8. The tensioner will be maxed out all the way on one of the sides so un screw it and get the belt on that way.
Not sure about the z6block but The a6 should fit Just expletive with it. U all so have a d15z and a d15b2 timing belts that are slightly diff they are smaller then the a6 but bigger then the y8 z6 THey come from 92 civic cx and vx. Only 4 diff dseries One cam timing belts. Trust me i had a hard time with this all ready with my ****.

 

Try a D15B7 Belt, it should work.
