Default Wheel fitment help

I am thinking about buying a set of wheels that are 17x8 and 17x9 with a +44 offset. I was curious to see if anyone has had experience with this offset. I am hearing by some that they will work fine and others saying that you will need to roll your fenders or have a lot of negative camber (which i'd really like to avoid). I'm dropped with a one a finger gap at the moment but I can always raise my car a little bit to make them work. Also, what size tires would be best for this set up? will i have to get smaller than 245 on the rear to get them to work? thanks for all the help you can offer.

please do a search on wheel offsets, this has been discussed over and over and over again...

yes they will fit, will you need rolling of the YES depending on your drop, camber.. yes run it you will be happy with how it handles, and yes for camber/rolling depends on the tire size as well

do you think you could've pulled it off if you didn't slam your car though? pretend you only dropped it about 1-1.5". i'd really like to avoid rolling my fenders. some people are saying if i went with a 235 tire, i could avoid rubbing. but i'd have to go with the stretched tire look. what do you think?

with a +44 theres no need for a 235 if you went say +35 or +30 then yes.. but i would put as much tire as possible
stick with a 245 rear

stretched tires are hot! but yeah i agree put as much tire back there as possible.. im pretty low and have perfect camber in the back so ill probably go with a 9" with a 40mm and a 245...

and that won't require you to roll your fenders?

depends on the brand of tire you get.... but you will fine fine with some camber no rolling but just roll be and make sure you clear... might have to trim/bend/relocate the bumper tab

17x8 17x9 +44...

and u live in socal...sounds like a blitz 01 set up.

they'll fit just fine with stock ap2 size tires..u'll need to trimm/roll the rear fenders if u wanna sit pretty low.

Some threads are similar because some questions have repeatedly been discussed. I've seen lots of other threads that discusses custom wheels... Just type "wheels" in the "Search" button

Stock ap2 tires will work with this set up but once you go lower, you will rub. At stock heighth you will clear, but it will throw off an illusion that it will be sticking out too much.

If you want to tuck a non rolled fender, you have to run a 235-40-17 + slight camber

If you want to tuck on a rolled fender, you can run a 245-40-17 + -3.5 camber

By the way it sounds, it looks like your looking into a blitz set up or even an OG Work Equip set up.

I for one am running the gangsters of all gangsters set up though

17x7.5 +29

17x8.5 + 30

And I Clear. And I don't stick out. And I im tucking

stretched tires are actually functional to a point. they prevent sidewall play. the key is to not over strech them.
