A week ago, I noticed that my steering was looser than before and when I hit bumps or dips, my steering jerks and make a quick rattle. So I changed both my inner and outer tie rods and rubber boots with new ones. But my steering wheel is still loose but there are no more jerks when I hit bumps or dips, but theres still a rattle when i hit multiple small dips or when I purposely hit the road reflectors on the road. The question is how can I tighten up the steering wheel? I have a 96 Civic 2dr EX.

Any advise will be appreciated. Thank you.

 

is there any noticable play in the sterring wheel when not moving. just in park or neutral if the wheel has alot of play in it you might have a worn steering rack.
