Code 17
So my car wouldn't start today but I wasn't getting a CEL, I checked the computer and the LED blinked seventeen times, I checked on AllData and I got the procedure for checking it but no explanation of what caused it. What is it?
That's the vehicle speed sensor. My speedo cable broke and I would get a code 17 but the car drove fine and it basically didn't care that the speedo didn't work.
This should not prohibit the car from starting. The cel would only light up under deceleration after the car was driving. It would come back on everytime I drove the car.

On AllData it said that to check it I should jack the front of the car up and spin the left wheel, and do some other checks, I don't see why it would cause a crank no start condition though, I'll post the rest of the procedures in once I get to look at them all.
Use a honda manual when working on your honda.
Download them free from
http://www.hondatech.info
Go to the manual section, find yours download it.
Don't use anything else anymore, alot of bad info, only use your honda book to trouble shoot everything, it has the best info on your car.

On AllData it told me that I should jack up the front end and spin the front wheel and then check the voltage on some sensors and some other things, I'll post the rest of the procedures it told me to do on here in once I get to the paper. All the procedures are for checking Code 17 too but I dont see how a wheel speed sensor would cause a crank no start condition.
