Default new member needs advice from the pros

Hey all i posted in the wrong section before so ill copy and paste here:

Hi fellow civic enthusiast

I don't know too much about civics so i decided to join this forum to learn more.

i just purchased a 04 civic si, black on black, with 12k miles, my first honda

Its one of the funnest cars to drive, great on gas but there's power when you need it.

Basically i was hoping someone could help me out with 2 things, I wanted to get new rims and new fog lights (JDM appearance), for the rims i wanted to get Volk GTU's the gold ones but i have no idea what size to get, 16 - 17 inch is all i know lol...any one know exactly what size i need? frankly i dont even know the lug count =/

and are the fog lights on ebay that advertise as JDM, good for a civic si 04?

i kno this may seem like a selfish post for help, but i hope to become a avid member of this forum and i will pass along any help/advice whenever i can.

Thanks ALL!

Congrats on the 04Si...as for the JDM look like amber fog lights I've just bought a pair for $150 shipped on tunerzimage.com, You better get them because they get sold fast...Don't really trust with E-Bay...And as for all your EP questions...you'll probably get a better response on EPHatch.com...

from a newbie to another newbie..

wouldn't consider myself a professional..but nothin wrong with trying to help a fellow honda member out..12k miles on an 04 wow..haha i bought my 03 with 47k already

i have an 03 rsx..but your questions aren't too far from my cup of tea..

as far as your rims..nice choice btw..you're going to have to think about whether you're going to lower the car at all in the future(which i think you should...slammed EP3's are cake!)..so depending how low you will drop it..goes to your size..16 or 17...if you're going to lower it a lot..16 would be good..going to lower it about an inch or inch and a half..17 if you want..and for the tires..you can stick with normal thickness..or if you want you can always go for the low-profile look...it's really personal preference...

as for the JDM fogs...i'll just tell you from personal experience that if you got the money..get the real thing..get it done right the first time..not hating on e-bay or anything..e-bay's a great website..but the whole hassle of trying to figure out if it's real or not..getting scammed..just not my thing..too many things to look and watch out for...AGAIN..it's totally up to you..off top of my head i know http://www.passwordjdm.com has the oem foglight kit for your car..however it's US spec..im almost sure it's pretty much the same thing (same style, fitment, etc...correct me if i'm wrong)just change the bulbs to yellow and BAOOOWW!! helllllllllaaaaajdm haha..jp..

good luck though...be sure to post pictures when you get both in
