Default axle and lsd question

i have a 91 da integra, i'm getting a y1 lsd cable tranny for it, i was wondering if i could use the stock axle for it. thanks for the help.

have you got the tranny yet. if not i wouldnt. the lsd is nice but it has a 4.28 final drive which sucks. but if you get it just use whatever axle that goes with your halfshaft,it will work

is y1 tranny really that bad for all motor setups? it's shorter than ls trannies right?

bump

i may gettign a y1 with lsd for my b20vtec set up. i've seen different gearing tho for these y1 trannies, some sites said they are 4.2 final and some sites says they're 4.4 i was wondering if a y1 is short enough for a 200 whp b20vtec? as in a lot better than my current A1 tranny?

does anyone have a y1 that works well for their build? thanks for the help!

as far as i know the s1,j1,and,ys1 have the 4.4 and the y1 has the 4.2.probably wont be much better than the a1

from looking at that, it seems that the y1 tranny has shorter 2nd and third, but final is same as a1, i don't know how that works out...hm...
