Default help with dying carpet

okay i really want new carpet oem stuff but its on back order ive been waiting for two months for black i have a 95 civic and i saw i ebay oem brown carpet and its 100 bucks for new oem stuff if i buy an extremely stong concentrate and let it soak for a day will the dye be durable and last or should i jus wait till it of back order

another option is saddle dye. its used to dye leather horse saddles, but was told by a cowgirl that it would work well to dye carpet. availible for pretty cheap at a feed store or familiar store.

EDIT: just think or a lot bigger version of leather dye (for shoes)
