Default Clicking/Ticking Sound...

From under/Inside the Dash Area...Anyone experience this? I can iniate the sound by pressing the clutch in. When Depressed Out it Clicks/Ticks a few times and it will keep clicking for a few seconds and then stop. 1997 Civic DX hatch

It's your throwout bearing.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Bense &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">vehicle stopped, engine running, trans in neutral, foot off of clutch and you still hear noise, bad ISB.

clutch pedal depressed, consistantly making noise = bad throwout bearing.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Yep. Any bearing will typically click when they go bad.

Swap the tranny? Or are you going all out?

Going all out. Was going to do it anyway but wasn't going to for a while. Since I might need to take off the Tranny for a New TOB might as well swap everything and get it over with. haha.
