Default ARP rod bolts for b18c1

What up,

I was looking at getting the ARP rod bolts for my gsr rods..the site has two different sizes of bolts one is for 1.6-1.8L 8mm, and the other is 1.8-2.0L 9mm bolts?! which one do i need? and also do they just bolt on, or do i have to have the rods machined??

thanks

Also are these really needed with say a 200WHP n/a build??

9 mm and you will have to take them to a machine shop to get pressed in and checked for distortion.

It depends on how high you plan to rev. Greater than 10k, yea. Below that should be not problem.

I have two new sets (8 and 9 mm) that I don't plan to use. (groan)

New is always better than used. How many cycles on the "old" bolts?

for the small price it's worth the extra assurance that you have them. and if your engine is a gsr the 9mm would be the ones for you man.

and i also have a set i haven't used for sale

Talked to my machine shop today and they said they're pretty painless to install. I will be buying a set as soon as my RSmachine pistons get here.
