Default Boring .20 over to 81.5mm

i have a 98 gsr and im planning on doing a N/A build, and i was wondering if it would make much difference if i bored .20 over to 81.5mm. Im going to give it a fresh hone, so while i was getting that done i figured id get it bored but for the extra money is it worth it?

If the walls are within tolerance, I would not bore it 20 over (.5mm). I would just hone.

If you are looking for a significant change in displacement then sleeve it and go to 84.5 mm. Or better yet, use a ls crank and rods for more torque.

i went 81.5 cause 81.25 wasnt enough to get a clean hone on my block

I went 81.5 because I couldn't get a good shape with 81. It had a slight egg shape to the bore (both of them) so I just picked the newer block and went to 81.5. I really don't think it makes any difference honestly. Maybe 1 ftlb of tq at 5486 rpm's lol.
