Default Oil filter relocation using factory oil cooler. Pictures inside.

I was just working on my s2000 and I am about finished with the oil relocation aspect of it. Here are pictures.

And the reason for doing this.

It's not a cooler, it's a strainer.

I did an install of an Earl's cooler with about 40" of total line for the feed and return, and oil pressure fluctuated about 3-5 psi more than normal. Didn't affect the solenoid for VTEC engagement. The lines themselves held more oil than the actual cooler.

Im not worried about VTEC solenoid pressure my EMS controls that now.

Actually I have a comptech supercharger and that is required to get it to fit correctly.

I am going to fab up a cover for that whole length

Why do you still have your A/C compressor if you have no lines?

Hope you like me picking at your project, I'm kinda bored this morning.

Was going to take that out, but i was unsure if that would hurt anything.

It would be nice to have one belt. Crank and alternator

Like this? Part numbers:

Bando 6PK1145
Goodyear 6PK1005
Goodyear Gatorback 4060450

For the Bando, you can use 6PK1150 if there's too much tension with the ~45. 5mm difference.

What about the water pump?

You'd have to take that fat-*** pulley out of the way, then measure out how long your belt needs to be. The alternator bracket is slotted, so I guess you could use that to tension your belt. I haven't had a need to try it; without the AC compressor dragging, it feels like a new lighter flywheel.

durr i forgot about the water pump, off to the store to find some belts.

Im sure with the AC compressor off, the fidanza flywheel, the turbo kit, and the 4.57 gears, this thing is going to be sick

Hhahahahhaa. Try Bando? They're actually much better than the Goodyears. To answer your question, I have no clue what car they come off of.

why did you mount it right side up like that? its just gonna spill out oil everywhere when you pull it off. Flip it over.

Actually gravity takes most of it back down and there will be minimal oil spillage.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by m R g S r &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I'm not understanding this....those are coolant lines right? The picture does not have the oil lines yet, Im still waiting on my bulkhead fittings from summit.
