UK EP3 CTR Brake reccommendation
Hi Folks, the time has come to change the pads. What pads are you guys running and any personal reccommendations you can give?
The discs are OEM btw.
Thanks.

I autocross occasionally, and have my eyes set on doing a trackday sometime, so I have Cobalt GT-S pads that I use daily on the car. I also have a new front pair of their Spec-VR pads that I'd like to use on a track.
The GTs are good for their intended use -- grabby, with decent modulation, and definitely better heat tolerance than stock. I have to be aware of their need to heat up a bit when the weather's cold, though; their operating temperature range starts around 70 degF. If I've been driving down the highway in winter weather, for example, and decide to take an exit, I can feel that they need a second of easy braking to warm up and work as well as they should.
They perform well, no doubt. They're also noisy and really dusty. If I didn't autocross, I'd use something milder and more temperature-friendly instead.

There are also several companies that are coming out with carbon-ceramic pads, which appear to promise a wide temperature range and good modulation. I'll probably be trying that route after I'm done trashing the ones I've got.
