ebay header opinion
I am currently building an ej1 civic with a h22 and gsr trans. Funds are very tight right now. I purchased a long block and it came with no downpipe so im stuck for a solution to a header. Ebay this and ebay that, this header is only 75 shipped. I would plan to use it for about a year, or until next summer, until i can afford a better one and start my engine build. Basically im asking will this be alright for a stock replacement? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1
This header also appealed to me because the seller accepts credit cards, as i dont have time to wait 5 days for paypal to clear. Thanks for any opinions

lol I actually just went through the same thing. I bought the exact same one for my h23. I just wanted a cheap one cuz Im doing a h22 build this winter. I have no complaints about it. fits good.
i have all the proper stuff. i did not cheap out on any of the main components. i was just not expecting to have to buy a header. yea i think it will do for a little bit until i can get a real header that makes some numbers. anyone have one of these?
It will be fine until u can get a better one. They are just like dc or megan, just no brandname......also check the weld and flanges on cheap header.
Ive seen som that my buddy got for like 55 shipped and they were descent, and Ive seen 125$ ebay ones that were garbage as far as qualty went,so pay attention when ordering.

yea my only real concern was the quality of the header. i figured all are basically gonna perform like stock, maybe even net me a couple hp. to find an oem header im gonna pay roughly the same price. this should be fine until i can afford one like the rmf or explicit speed performance.
I had an Ebay header on my H23, then got another when I did my H22 swap. I just didn't connect the back bracket by the oil pan and all has been fine. I had one of the upper to lower bolts back itself out once since I evidently didn't torque it enough, but that's all.

I would keep it stock until you can afford the one you really want.
Going through intermediates is a bit wasteful ($), and that seems to be something you should consider since ur on a budget.
