mantince light

Default mantince light

I have a 99si coupe with a b18c1 and the mantince light is on and all the fluids are Good why else would that light be on? the checkE. light is on but that is b/c of my o2's are out

It runs via the odometer and it goes off after a few thousand miles as a reminder. If all your fluids are good, just stick your key in the vertical slot right next to the indicator to reset it.

Does a mantince light have anything to do with this guy?


BTW, it's not a light. EM1s have those color changing doodads in them. Don't know after how many miles they go from green to orange and then to red, but they reset similar to your tripometer. As already stated above, push the button with your key.

^ What are you talking about, all civics have a maintenace light. it usually comes on around 100k to tell you to get 100k services done.

He's simply referring to the fact that the Civic's service reminder is not actually a light, but a small square cut-out with a piece of plastic behind it that rotates and changes from green to red as the miles elapse and the scheduled service draws near. To the best of my knowledge, it's set on an approximate 7500 mile cycle.
