Why do you want a tungsten shift ****? CDC hasn't come out and said that it causes cancer, but.....

"Biological role
Enzymes called oxidoreductases use tungsten in a way that is similar to molybdenum by using it in a tungsten-pterin complex.

On August 20, 2002, officials representing the U.S.-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that urine tests on leukemia patient families and control group families in the Fallon, Nevada area had shown elevated levels of the metal tungsten in the bodies of both groups.[2] Sixteen recent cases of cancer in children were discovered in the Fallon area which has now been identified as a cancer cluster, (it should be noted, however, that the majority of the cancer victims are not long time residents of Fallon). Dr. Carol H. Rubin, a branch chief at the CDC, said data demonstrating a link between tungsten and leukemia is not available at present"

I believe the Circuit Hero is made of stainless steel.

wait wait wait...how in the first place is tungsten going to get into your skin?
You must be some dermatologist to figure that out. Unless your sucking on your shift ****, sanding it down and breathing in the metal fragments you will not have that much exposure. NO worries, the polished surface would provide for even less exposure. I think they even make rings out of tungsten as well.

IMO anything could cause cancer if in a high enough dose

I just asked why he wanted a tungsten shift ****... my sweaty *** hands have worn through the finish on more than one shift **** before. So, machining = polishing??? I don't think so... he only mentioned getting a **** machined.

I just wanted him to consider the health risks of being a baller with a tungsten shift ****

just buy the circuit hero

They do make rings out of Tungsten. In fact that is the reason that I want a tungsten shift ****. I were a Tungsten ring on each hand. Because tungsten s so much harder than stainless it scratches the crap out of it. So if I get a tungsten **** my ring wont scratch the crap out of it.

As far as the health hazards go, I also read that little quote on Wiki but thanks. I also read this in Science Daily.
The researchers also analyzed airborne tungsten particles from Fallon to determine their source. The analysis found that the particles "were anthropogenic in origin, not natural." The particles were relatively uniform in size, ranging from about 1.0 to 5.9 micrometers in diameter.

Particles less than 10 micrometers in diameter are small enough to be inhaled and have potential to cause health problems, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The research team's study on the characteristics of the tungsten particles has been accepted for publication by the journal Microscopy and Microanalysis.

Here is an example of people being so worried about something that might hurt them (but isnt proven to) that they are not willing to let the airport use something that could save lifes.

Dude, that article in reason.com is 12 years old..... not exactly current. I had just wondered "why tungsten?" now that you've given a reason (the rings and all), I can understand wanting a tungsten shift ****...

I didn't mention anything about how tungsten entered the body or anything else... just put up a quote from wiki stating that a group of leukemia patients had elevated tungsten levels. one guy laughed and another freaked out... I didn't mean any harm.

You original question: I don't know of anyone selling tungsten shift *****, you probably would have to get one machined, but if it fits you and your lifestyle (4 finger tungsten ring j/k ) than by all means do it up.

in fact; check these guys out.. I used them years ago to make a bracket or two for a little project.. turnaround is quick and you can make sure it's exactly what you want by designing it yourself.

ps. download their software for the complete materials list.. I can't recall if tungsten was there or not

no prob man I was just replying to your statement. Not getting my fethers in a tussel. But your right that article was ancient. LOL oh well. Yeah I wear a rather sentimental ring on my right hand (yes just one.) Thanks for your input though. I am working with a machine shop right now to get a price. It is probably going to be a Tungsten Carbide (alloy) rather than pure tungsten.
