Just wondering, I purchased a apexi vtec controller for my b16a gen 2, type R motor. Will this be of any benefit to me? I never really had a good look at it yet. So if anyone knows anything about these/had them before, any info would be good. Thanks

No such thing.
VTEC controllers are worthless. In this day in age of CROME, Hondata, etc. etc., i wouldnt even bother. You cant touch the timing maps when using them, theyre very very basic.

B16A2 Type R?

VAFCs are good tools, you can actually get a nice AFR tune if used properly. Search.

dont jump the gun, maybe its a b16 with a R head on it...you never know!

I have a vtec controller and its worthless. ive never touched it.

 

I'm going with Frank on this one. Who needs one with how easy it is to chip an ecu these days.
